YARAREGA water-soluble NPK compound fertilisers are the easy way to deliver a balanced blend of nutrients to vegetable and tree crops using existing irrigation systems.

Yara Crop Nutrition southern region sales manager, Paul Eitzen, says these premium quality fertilisers feature a special coating that protects granules during handling and storage, yet dissolves readily in water.

"Traditionally growers broadcast a soluble NPK, such as YaraMila, before irrigation or anticipated rain, in the expectation the granules will dissolve and be carried into the soil profile with moisture," he said.

"With less than 1 per cent insoluble and a particle size of less than 100 microns, YaraRega can be delivered using existing pivot or lateral irrigator or sprinkler or drip irrigation system without fear of blockages.

"This does away with a number of passes over the field each season, saving time and money."

YaraRega is available in three formulations: 13-2-21, 9-0-30 and 15-7-13.

Nitrogen is present in both the nitrate and ammonium forms, meaning it is available for immediate plant uptake.

The phosphate formulations contain water-soluble, citrate forms of phosphate and all sulphate is in the form of potassium, making them suitable for application to chloride-sensitive crops.

All three formulations contain sulphur. The 13-2-21 and 15-7-13 formulations also contain a range of micronutrients, such as magnesium, zinc and boron, required for optimal growth and quality in a wide range of vegetable and tree crops.

Like all Yara products, YaraRega fertilisers are produced in Europe using the highest quality ingredients and have a guaranteed specification.

"Our quality assurance standards cover everything from where and how we source raw materials, right through to formulation, manufacture, trials, labelling and logistics," Mr Eitzen said.

"Yara also maintains a comprehensive sampling system to ensure each batch meets the stated specification and can be traced back to the raw materials used in that batch."

Thinking globally

YARAREGA fertilisers have an independently-verified, low carbon footprint.

"As one of the world's leading fertiliser companies, Yara is committed to helping our customers to responsibly feed the growing world population while protecting the planet," Mr Eitzen said.

"We've already reduced the carbon footprint of our nitrate fertiliser production by 40pc via the adoption of some of the most energy-efficient processes in the world and we're on track to reduce emissions by another 30pc within a decade.

"Ultimately, we want to be completely carbon neutral by 2050. Producers can do their bit by opting to use a quality nitrate fertiliser.

"Electing to use a fertiliser that delivers more units of plant-available nitrogen to your crop instead of the atmosphere is surely a win-win for growers and the environment."

Other tools available

YARA fertilisers are supported by range of innovative decision-making tools to help its customers get the best return on investment from using quality nutrition products.

"Our goal is to deliver integrated crop nutrition solutions that genuinely increase the productivity and profitability of our customers," Mr Eitzen said.

Yara markets a comprehensive range of crop nutrition products in Australia, including YaraMila NPK compound fertilisers, YaraRega soluble NPK compound fertilisers, YaraTera crystalline NPK fertilisers, YaraLiva calcium nitrate fertilisers and YaraVita micronutrient foliar fertilisers.
