The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) hosted the sustainability workshops in Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland aimed at bringing together members to explore the benefits and the process of becoming a sustainability-certified horticulture business.
Participants got to hear from industry leading experts in horticulture sustainability.

In Brisbane and Melbourne, guests heard from Tamara Muruetagoiena, IFPA; Kathryn Young, Hort Innovation; Joe Bruzzese and Carmel Onions, Commonwealth Bank; Alex Doyle, Woolworths; Dr Francois Visser, Dr Theunis Smit, and Dr Majella Mumford, Carbon Friendly.
The Auckland event was co-produced with United Fresh NZ, and attendees heard from Tamara Muruetagoiena, IFPA; Jerry Prendergast, United Fresh NZ; Dr Hans Maurer and Jacob Lawes, United Fresh NZ Technical Advisory Group; Catherine Langabeer, Woolworths; Brigit Corson and Amy Chau, Foodstuffs North Island; Lloyd Franks, Seeka; and Eze (Ezequiel) Cancina, Toitu Envirocare.
Event speakers shared insights and expertise, shedding light on the possibilities and challenges ahead in sustainability.
Organisers said it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with members and learn more about where they are in their sustainability journey.
